National Certificate in Recreation and Sport - Aquatics (Pool Lifeguard) Level 3

 

This qualification will take up to 8 months to complete.

 

This qualification is designed for people working as Pool Lifeguards. It incorporates the Pool Lifeguard Skills Award and Pool Lifeguard Practicing Certificate (PLPC). PLPC is the minimum qualification for Pool Lifeguards in New Zealand, and ensures that you or your staff meet Poolsafe accreditation requirements.

 

You will learn about:

  • Aquatic supervision techniques

  • Aquatic rescue techniques

  • How to supervise customers

  • How to identify and manage hazards and risks

  • How to lead emergency responses.

This cost includes learning and assessment resources, registration of achievement and Learning Support Advisor visits.
