National Certificate in Recreation and Sport - Aquatics (Pool Operations) Level 3

 

This qualification will take up to 8 months to complete.

 

This qualification recognises the skills and knowledge you and your staff should have when working in an aquatic facility, and provides an opportunity to gain skills and knowledge in the areas you and your staff specialise in.

 

You will learn about:

  • Hazard identification and risk management

  • Health and safety workplace practice and compliance

  • Dealing with accidents and emergencies

  • Teamwork and giving instructions

  • Providing comfortable, secure environments for customers

  • Appropriate behaviour and responsibilities when working in an aquatic environment.

It also includes a range of options to suit workplace requirements, including:

  • Water treatment

  • Customer sales and service 

  • Aquatic programme instruction - chest or deep water

  • First aid and pre-hospital emergency care.
