National Certificate in Sport and Recreation (Coaching and Instruction - Developing Coach) Level 3

 

This qualification will take up to 8 months to complete.

 

This qualification can be achieved while carrying out normal coaching duties, without having to take time out to attend extra courses or workshops. Most of the evidence required is based on actual coaching sessions, along with some theory questions about the role and responsibilities of a coach.

 

The National Certificate aligns with Sport New Zealand's Coach Development Framework and is a nationally accepted qualification across alltypes of sports and recreational activities.

 

They will learn about:

  • Sport and athletic coaching

  • Their own coaching philosophy

  • Principles of learning and skill aquisition

  • Athletes' technical skills

  • Key coaching tactics and strategies.

This cost includes learning and assessment resources, registration of achievement and Learning Support Advisor contact visits.

 

There may be additional costs if external training and assessment are required.
