New Zealand Certificate in Business (Administration and Technology) Level 3

This qualification specifically suits people who work in a wide range of office administration and business roles within the sport, recreation and performing arts industries.
Trainees will learn while they earn, and receive on-job support and mentoring from managers, supervisors and colleagues. Through completing the qualification in the workplace, new skills and knowledge are applied directly to the work the staff member engages with in their role. This ensures the qualification is highly relevant and useful to both staff and workplace.
The qualification programme is fully online and requires the trainee to collate an online evidence portfolio.
The qualification is a 60-credit package and includes tasks around:

Plan for your success – this task is not assessed, but is vital in setting the staff member up to be successful in completing and achieving this qualification.

Produce business documents – plan and produce three separate business documents.

Data processing to produce business information – be observed completing process data:

sort data |  filter data | query data | chart data | merge data | use financial function | use statistical function | use logical function

Provide administrative support – be observed completing:
mail processing | records management | visitor management | maintenance of office supplies and/or equipment | meeting arrangements and support | reproduce business documents | routine financial calculations
The qualification is estimated to take around eight months to complete for a person newly entering their role.
