Stage 2 consultation

 

Consultation on the draft Dive suite of qualifications has now closed.  Consultation was held 28 October - 11 November 2015.  A Consultation Summary Report will be available soon.

 

The proposed qualifications are designed for those who ...

  • wish to be competent for own dive activities whether for recreation or employment purposes (Level 3)
  • supervise dive operations within either recreational or aquaculture settings. They may also specialise in plant or vessel operations, or sales and merchandising for dive contexts (Level 4)
  • operate as dive instructors and are able to instruct, assess and award a range of Dive Training organisation certifications (Level 5 Certificate)
  • operate as Multi-Skilled dive instructors who also have the skills and knowledge to operate the retail and training operations of a dive facility (Level 5 Diploma).

Stage 1: NZ Certificate in Diving (Foundation) (Level 3) (45-50 credits)                  

 

Stage 1: NZ Certificate in Diving (Supervision) (Level 4) (80 credits)

 

Stage 1: NZ Certificate in Diving (Instruction) (Level 5) (50 credits)

 

Stage 1:  NZ Diploma in Diving (Level 5) (120 credits)
