An award-winning presenter and fitness industry leader, Wendy has been involved with the health and fitness industry in Australasia for three decades and brings this wealth of industry experience to the board of Skills Active.
Wendy pioneered personal training in New Zealand in 1992 through global fitness giant, Les Mills and established many of the standards for new academic courses to emerge in a range of tertiary education settings around New Zealand and Australia.
Following the conclusion of her 18 years with the Les Mills group in 2001, Wendy has worked in a range of consulting roles, including resource design work with Skills Active over the years.
Today she also brings this knowledge and experience to her board governance role with Skills Active. In 2018, Wendy completed her Doctoral Studies on women’s healthy ageing. It is this academic work that has led her to set up an online business supporting women with improving their mid-life health.
