The Targeted Review of Qualifications (TRoQ) was established by the Government (through NZQA) to focus on reducing the duplication and proliferation of Level 1-6 qualifications. The aim is to ensure the system is easy to understand, particularly for learners and employers.
Skills Active led the review of the Recreation, Sport and Exercise qualifications that was triggered in March 2012, covering 175 qualifications developed by 36 PTEs, ITPs, Wānanga and ITOs. Skills Active was also actively involved in the Performing Arts qualification development.
Throughout the review, stakeholders were updated on progress, and feedback was sought, via the Skills Active website. With the TRoQ process largely at an end, this information is no longer published on our website.
If you would like any more information about the , contact the Skills Active qualification review team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We're in the middle of putting together a summary document that takes you through our TRoQ process, which we'll upload here.
Our job doesn't stop and we're constantly reviewing qualifications and determining needs for any new qualifications.
