This qualification is for new and potential team leaders in sport and recreation work settings, who will be leading, inspiring and motivating others in their role.
Team leaders set an example for others in their workplace. They are organised, clear-thinking and great at bringing out the best in people. They use their excellent communication skills to influence and guide their team towards achieving goals for the organisation.
This full-service qualification is delivered and assessed completely online, making it suitable for a wide range of trainees, no matter the size of their organisation or where they are located.
The programme will be run using a cohort system. Trainees will be placed within a cohort of their peers, so they can progress through the training together. These online-based groups will be supported by a dedicated facilitator.
Through completing this qualification, up-and-coming team leaders will have the skills and knowledge to contribute to effective team performance, in both bi-cultural and multicultural environments.

Unit standard 29041 | Apply principles for effective performance within a team | Level 3 | 23 credits
Unit standard 29042 | Develop objectives for a team | Level 3 | 15 credits
Unit standard 29043 | Describe and compare different styles of team leadership for a business entity | Level 3 | 10 credits
