Tramping and Camping

What is it?

Tramping and Camping introduces students to a positive, safe and enjoyable outdoor tramping and camping experience.

Students will gain four Level 2 unit standards (11 credits). 

The Tramping and Camping package consists of a Student Assessment Workbook and Teacher Assessment Guide. 

What will students learn?

Students who complete this programme will be able to:

Read a weather map and observe the weather for a 5-day period
Plan, prepare for and experience three 1-day tramps and two overnight camps
Evaluate these experiences to ensure further positive tramping and camping experiences
Navigate in good visibility on land.

How can my school get involved?
