Skills Active supports two awards for the exercise industry. These are presented at the NZ Exercise Industry Awards.
Nominations are open for the Volunteer Development Award! This award recognises and celebrates the achievements of volunteers who give their time to support the community and help shape the sport and recreation industry.
The Transforming Tomorrow's Workforce award recognises small and medium businesses that demonstrate a strong commitment to promoting knowledge and skill development for their staff, in order to meet current and future workforce challenges.
Nominations are open for the Apprentice of the Year Award! This award goes to a high-potential trainee who has gained skills and qualifications that will help them improve the wellbeing of New Zealanders, through the medium of sport and recreation.
The Training Excellence Awards mark the achievements of individuals and organisations in the local government sector who have shown dedication to the pursuit of knowledge and skill through training.
The Māori Sports Scholarship recognises promising young Māori sportspeople, and provides support for their endeavours in both the sporting and academic realms.
The Supreme Award for Outdoor Recreation recognises an individual who has demonstrated outstanding leadership in the outdoor recreation and education sector.
