Skills Active Exercise Awards

Skills Active supports two awards for the exercise industry. These are  presented at the NZ Exercise Industry Awards

Manukura Award - for individuals

Manukura is simply translated as a leader or person held in high esteem. A significant aspect, that can’t  be simply translated is that to be pronounced a ‘manukura’ requires the support of people around you, and the people you work with. It is a position of mana and a reflection of your work and how you are regarded by those around you.

The Skills Active Manukura Award is all about leadership, and how someone's work ethic reflects how they are regarded and supported by those around them. The Manukura Award recognises leaders in the exercise industry, who are engaging with industry training, and are achieving highly with the support of the people around them.

The award is open to current staff, assessors, managers and leaders in the exercise industry who are engaged in industry training.
