Skills Active Volunteer Recognition Award 2017
June 26, 2017
The Skills Active Volunteer Recognition Award recognises and celebrates the achievements of Skills Active’s professional volunteers who give their time to support the community and help shape the sport and recreation industry.
The theme of the 2017 Volunteer Recognition Award is: Contribution to knowledge and skill development. This is to recognise those volunteers that have committed to developing skills and knowledge within their club, workplace or organisation, as well as their wider community.
The winner and a guest will travel to Wellington for an overnight stay in December 2017, to be presented with their award at the Skills Active Conference. The winner will also receive a $500 grant towards supporting learning and development for themselves/their team/club/organisation.
Skills Active’s Volunteer Recognition Award provides the industry with the opportunity to reflect on the vital impact that volunteers have on furthering the work of the industry. The Award also provides an important opportunity to celebrate the volunteers that give so much of their own time to support, develop and promote skills and professionalism in their industry.
