This apprenticeship is for people instructing outdoor activities, specialising in at least two activities.
Multi-activity outdoor instructors have broad skills in the outdoors and love to share this passion with others. They understand the power of the outdoors to challenge people, nudge them out of their comfort zones, and build their confidence. They use their instruction and technical skills to guide people through outdoor activities.
This is a complex apprenticeship, which means it's comprised of two individual qualifications, packaged together. It's designed to be delivered and assessed on-the-job, in an outdoor recreation workplace.
Apprenticeship graduates will come out of this qualification equipped to teach participants in at least two activities, such as mountain biking, kayaking or abseiling.
On-job training costs workplaces both time and resources. It can mean covering registration fees, learning and assessment resources, allocating time for training, and having an appropriate assessment pathway available.
Total costs for apprentices will vary depending on how the qualification is delivered, how it is assessed and how much support the workplace can provide.

Some of our apprenticeships may be eligible for the Government’s fees free policy, or may be eligible for an assessment rebate.
